Amy M. Hall RN, PhD
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at Saint Louis University, my Master of Science Degree in Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing at the University of Illinois Chicago, and my Doctoral Degree in Nursing at Saint Louis University. In addition to teaching, I have practiced nursing on a cardiac telemetry unit, a neuroscience unit, and in a diabetes resource center. As a part of my role as the Chair of the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences, I get the opportunity to teach nursing students at various levels at the UE. I love watching nursing students grow into competent and caring nurses. Our students are excited and enthusiastic about nursing, and I am honored to be a part of their exceptional educational experience. My research interests include health promotion, instrument development, and helping patients manage their chronic illnesses successfully. I also am an active contributor and editor for a series of internationally used fundamental nursing textbooks authored by Patricia A. Potter, PhD, RN, CMAC, FAAN and Anne G. Perry, EdD, RN, FAAN. |
