Cindy Schaefer APRN, BCI love being a nurse and the diversity it has offered me. I have practiced nursing in many different areas that include, medical surgical, oncology, radiation therapy, cardiac intensive care, clinical research, community health and education. I have a master's degree form the University of Evansville and I am currently working on my PhD in Nursing at Duquesne University. I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist and work as a staff nurse at one of the local hospitals. I am involved in many community committees which include the Community First Health Fair planning committee, St. Anthony Center for Family Life, the Perinatal Advisory Board, and the Fetal Infant Mortality Committee. Regionally I am a member of the Mid-west Clinicians Network and chair the steering committee for the Health Disparities Collaborative and I am an active member of the Research committee and am involved in many different research projects. Currently I teach at the senior level, I love helping the students ready to graduate and become wonderful caring nurses. |
