Recent happenings:

Members of SNAP (Student Nurse Association of Peers) adopted multiple families through the Ark Crisis Nursery by donating hundreds of dollars in toys, clothes, and other miscellaneous items. Originally, the group had only hoped to sponsor two families, but when they realized how many donations they had, they simply donated it all to the nursery and let the nursery give it where they saw fit.
In addition to donating goods, they also donated healthy snacks for the children there to eat.

SNAP is in the process of developing a mentor program for freshman nursing students. Details are being currently being worked out, and will be available as soon as possible!
As mentioned on the homepage, the University of Evansville was accredited by the NLNAC (National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission) in 1960, the first bachelor's degree program in Indiana to do so. An accredidation team will be visiting the university from February 20 - 22. While here, they will be examining the nursing program, and giving feedback as to how we can continue to improve our tradition of nursing excellence.
