Sigma Theta Tau

Eta Lambda Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International was chartered April 25, 1984. Sigma Theta Tau, International is the Nursing Honor Society. The purposes of Sigma Theta Tau, International are to:

• Recognize superior achievement
• Recognize the development of leadership qualities
• Foster high professional standards
• Encourage creative work
• Strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession

Invitation for membership in Sigma Theta Tau is extended to baccalaureate nursing students who have completed half of the nursing curriculum and who have demonstrated superior scholastic achievement and evidence of potential for leadership.
